Ever since I sold my x100 last year, I have been missing it. At the time it was the right thing to do for me, but for some time I really felt I lacked a small camera with good IQ.
I bought the X-E1 when it came out, and I love it. The sharpness of the files , especially when coupled with the 35mm 1.4, is fenomenal, and the IQ I get from the x-trans sensor is (almost) up there with my FF DSLRs.
But the X-E1 + lens is not really a small camera, at least not as small and discrete as the x100. Also, due to the X-E1 having a focal-plane shutter, it’s not as silent as the x100. I quickly discovered I reeeeeally missed that super silent leaf shutter in the x100.
So when I first read about the new x100s, wich seemed to remedy all the shortcomings of the x100, I knew I had to get it.. and a couple of weeks ago I managed to get a holde of one from the first batch arriving her in Oslo, Norway!
So far it’s performing really well, and I love using it!
I snapped this picture of it with my X-E1, thought I’d share it with you. Hope you like it!
